About the opportunity

This is a full time (35 hours/ week) permanent opportunity, based in Campbelltown.  

This is a leadership role within the Brighter Futures – Family Preservation team and is responsible for the day to day coordination, management and leadership of a team of dedicated caseworkers delivering the Brighter Futures Model to families at high risk of families of further escalation into the child protection system.

Day to day you’ll be responsible for:

• Defining priorities, appropriate outcomes for your team and your accountability for delivery of the program
• Collaborate and partner with DCJ to ensure caseworkers receive timely and appropriate referrals
• Work with your colleagues to translate key business stream strategies into regional and/or local plans and tactics
• Provide leadership and capability building to your team

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in the Social Sciences and / or Psychology related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with children and families
• Demonstrated experience working with families experiencing complex issues
• Demonstrated understanding of child protection issues with the capacity to identify risk levels and plan support interventions accordingly
• Demonstrated understanding of child protection legislation and mandatory reporting requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary services, developing and maintaining motivated, professional and effective work teams
