About the role

This is a permanent full-time (35 hours / week) opportunity and will based in Fairfield.

As an experienced leader with strong practice experience, you will provide clinical support and supervision of a small team of Therapeutic practitioners delivering the FFT-CW model. The families we work with are at risk of physical abuse or neglect of a child 0-17 years old who are at risk of further escalation in the child protection system and entry into Out of Home Care.  

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • FFT-CW model reaches full implementation including all training, case consultation and supervision of staff
  • Work closely with the FFT-CW model developers, intermediary agencies and DCJ
  • In partnership with the Regional Manager, manage the program response to escalation of risk and crises situations. Ensure the program takes the necessary action to mitigate risk to children and increase their overall safety and well being.
  • Providing team leadership and working productively as a positive role model

 About you

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related subject area.
  • Strong leadership qualities with proven ability in developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of the needs of Aboriginal communities, CALD communities, migrants and refugees and demonstrated ability to deliver and evaluate services in a culturally competent
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge and understanding of sector trends
  • Committed to compliance - legal, government and policy
  • Continuous improvement champion
  • Current drivers licence

Bonus skills

  • Fluency in a second language and/or strong connections to a diverse community
  • Knowledge of South West Sydney region
