About the opportunity

Uniting is seeking a Part Time Disability Support Worker to work across the Central Coast in the Entrance, Bateau Bay & Narara. Working with participants on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will make a real difference by building the participants’ capacity with daily living and confidence in accessing the community. You will have no shortage of variety in your role, working across 5 different group homes on the Coast and supporting participants within their homes.

About You

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Disability, or equivalent accreditation in social science / community services
  • An understanding of the complex needs of a person with a disability, their families and carers; and how to implement person-centred plans in line with identified goals of the individual
  • Demonstrated experience using a technology to keep up-to-date records
  • Experience supporting participants from Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds would be advantageous
