About the role:

As Enterprise Security Architect you will be responsible for designing, describing and managing technology solutions in the security and infrastructure space. These solutions will enable future-state business strategies, capabilities and targeted outcomes.

This role is enterprise-wide, securing public cloud, private cloud and on premises workloads. You will lead the methodologies, drive better practices developing capability required to design, introduce, champion and develop artefacts across the enterprise. Knowledge of Azure and extensive experience in an enterprise technology environment from a cloud perspective is essential.

Specifically your role will:

  • Develop and maintain security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology, and threat drivers
  • Develop security strategy implementation plans and roadmaps based on sound enterprise architecture practices
  • Support and enhance Uniting's cyber security framework
  • Design the technical solution describing the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of the technical solution (e.g., network, software, hardware, processes) to stakeholders both top down and bottom up.
  • Identify current and emerging threats, vulnerabilities and exploits impacting Uniting's assets and propose appropriate strategies to mitigate them

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Cloud architecture and Microsoft Azure platforms highly desirable
  • TOGAF Architecture certification is preferred Certified Certification (Foundation) in ITIL

You possess demonstrated  knowledge of industry standard EA frameworks and experience in modelling information architectures using a variety of automation tools and techniques and framework. You hold detailed understanding in development of information, applications, technology architecture and database system as you employ proficiency in ITIL strategy, network and platform components, active directory and security protocols. This is a roll your sleeves up , hands on role!

You are an excellent team player working within matrix structures, you have the ability to broker outcomes effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and peers.  You have strong business acumen for cloud architecture along with experience in application lifecycle management particularly in an agile environment.
