This is a part-time permanent position (21 hours per week) located in Campbelltown NSW. Must be available to work Thursdays 11am to 7pm, other days are flexible. Starting base annual salary $54,632 plus super, plus access to generous salary packaging options.

About the opportunity:

Are you passionate about supporting families through challenging times? Do you believe in the power of mediation to heal and rebuild relationships? If so, we have a unique opportunity for you!

You will be based at Uniting’s Counselling and Mediation Family Relationship Centre in Campbelltown, a place known for its deep connections and outstanding reputation in the Family Law Community.

As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will be at the heart of transforming lives. You’ll guide families through post-separation conflicts, helping them reach agreements on parenting arrangements and property distribution. Your interventions, including mediation, therapeutically assisted mediation, legally assisted mediation, and child-inclusive practice, will provide much needed support and clarity for families navigating the complexities of the Family Law Act.

You’ll collaborate with a passionate team of therapists and FDRP’s, all dedicated to one goal: supporting separated families to find peace and resolution.

Your Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Accredited or Eligible: You’re accredited by the Australian Attorney-General’s Department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, or eligible to apply. If you’re unsure about eligibility, we encourage you to contact the AGD Practitioner Accreditation Unit.
  • Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution: All applicants must have this qualification to proceed with the recruitment process.
  • Knowledgeable and Skilled: You have a strong understanding of child-inclusive mediation, family law legislation, and community services. You’re adept at working independently but also value teamwork.
  • Passionate and Compassionate: Your excellent communication, organisation, and writing skills enable you to connect with clients and colleagues alike. You’re dedicated to meeting program-specific targets and making a real impact.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with computers and can handle the administrative side of the role with ease.
