  • Full time, closed period contract of 2 years

Goodradigbee Cultural and Heritage Aboriginal Corporation (GCAHAC) is a non-government, not for profit corporation. We are dedicated to delivering cultural appropriate support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. Goodradigbee delivers a holistic model that provides whole of person care without discrimination. This includes under pinning social determinants that impact heavily on the health and well-being of individuals and families in our community. GCAHAC also provides advocacy in areas including Housing, Mental health, Centrelink, Schools, Child Safety & Probation & Parole. 

About the Opportunity 

This role is responsible for leading, resourcing and capacity building to ensure the successful service transition to an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (Goodradigbee Aboriginal Cultural and Heritage Corporation) of the Aboriginal Permanency Support Program (PSP) contract for the Greater Western Sydney (GWS) communities.

About You

  • Aboriginality and demonstrated ability in working with Aboriginal people, families and communities in Greater Western Sydney
  • 5 years’ experience working in areas of business development, capacity building, Aboriginal community engagement, project management and people leadership
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and / or significant experience in project management equating to Recognised Prior learning of same
  • Experience in delivering services in conjunction with community committees  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Community Services and Child Protection Sector
  • Policy & procedure writing  
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

  • Small Group Training experience
