About the role

Due to staff development opportunities within Uniting’s Work Health Safety and Risk department, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a new Injury Management Advisor to join our team based in Pitt Street (Sydney CBD), on a permanent full-time basis.

We are looking for a positive and engaging professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. You’ll be highly organised, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

You’ll have previous experience working within the Return to Work and Injury Management space and have experience supporting a complex WHS function, across multiple sites and business units.

In the role as Injury Management Advisor, you will Implement Uniting’s return-to-work program which is focused on fostering a culture that embraces workplace-based rehabilitation and the provision of suitable duties to encourage and support safe, durable and timely outcomes.

In this multifaceted role you will be engaging with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and collaborate with key business areas to support and nurture people back to health and work.

Working in some challenging environments you will be supported by a group of experienced and highly skilled team of peers to ensure you thrive in your new role.

Requiring some regular travel, this role will have you providing key support and guidance to people leaders and wider organisation as a subject matter expert.

About you

  • Relevant experience in a similar role such as in insurer case management, return to work and/or occupational rehabilitation
  • Allied Health qualification highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of complex claims including psychological claims
  • Ability to develop and review a return-to-work programs
  • Effective client relationships and stakeholder’s management
    Strong computer literacy skills and experience with WHS systems
  • The ability to deal with sensitive issues with empathy and always maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to manage a high volume of competing priorities
  • The ability to adapt to shifting demands and cross – skilling as required
  • Current NSW Working with Children’s check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
