About the Role:

Are you a skilled handyperson with a passion for making a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Officer who will play a crucial role in maintaining our properties, land-based assets, and equipment. Your work will ensure our care and accommodation services are safe, sustainable, and feel like home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain property, land-based assets, and equipment to support service delivery goals.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families, showing empathy and understanding.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards and WHS in all maintenance work.
  • Perform both routine and reactive building/property maintenance tasks in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to buildings and workplace health and safety.
  • A trade background is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with legislation and corporate standards.
  • Understanding of contractor obligations.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Current NSW driver’s license.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in maintenance roles within aged care or retirement living settings.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System); training can be provided.
