About the role:

Working within Uniting's Project Management Office (PMO) team of the Governance, Risk and Quality Directorate you will be focussed on the design and implementation of good governance measures, education of governance framework and reporting. The PMO ensures that projects associated with the yearly budget follow the agreed governance framework and deliver to agreed seed funding or business case.

This superb hands-on, roll your sleeves-up role will suit someone with exceptional stakeholder management experience, comfortable at all levels to develop trusted and enduring relationships gained from working in a large and complex organisation. You possess excellent judgment, analytical and lateral with excellent problem-solving skills. You are curious as you like to understand the why not just the how! Ideally you are someone that is resilient, tenacious with a propensity to persevere and succeed! Advanced negotiation skills are a big plus too!

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in either of the following fields of project management, business, commerce or accounting
• Previous Project/Portfolio/PMO experience and Project management certification highly desirable

Experience:

• Ability to write sophisticated project business cases
• Highly developed research, analytical and evaluative skills, particularly in project financial management;(P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Capability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
• An ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints
• Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, project management
• Executive reporting and financial reporting skills competencies
• Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
• Advanced Excel skills for data capturing and management
• Strong PowerPoint and visual material creation skills
