Foyer Central is Uniting’s bold new social impact investment program. The program provides young people with affordable independent housing with a supporting team of Youth Development Coaches.

Based in Sydney's CBD, this role is responsible for working with young people from 18-22 years who have exited out of home care. In this permanent part time position you will work a mix of day and afternoon shifts including weekends.

The emphasis will be on supporting young people with everyday living activities, education and/or employment opportunities with a focus on transitioning into independent living.

The Youth Development Coach will be part of a highly skilled team who share a commitment to working collaboratively to ensure the Foyer Central framework is embedded within the program.

About you:

  • Knowledge of multiple service systems and the support that young vulnerable people leaving OOHC require to transition to independence.
  • Passion for working with young people and a sound knowledge of the issues faced by young people.
  • WWCC and Police Check with the ability to work flexible hours.
  • Proven experience working in a residential youth care environment would be highly regarded
  • Would suit student studying Masters in relevant subject
