ABOUT THE ALLIANCE - Padninthi Kumangka Wardli (PKW)

Padninthi Kumangka Wardli translates to walking together towards Housing, Safety & Belonging, which is the key purpose of the newly formed Homelessness Alliance. PKW has been selected by the South Australian Government to deliver homelessness services across Adelaide’s north-western suburbs.

The alliance is a collaborative model made up of seven organisations, all of which have significant experience delivering homelessness services in the region and a deep working knowledge of the clients and communities.

THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity exists for a pivotal role in a newly formed alliance delivering homelessness services across Adelaide’s northern-western suburbs. The Alliance Manager will lead and implement the vision, strategies and plans of the Alliance Leadership Team.

The NorthWest Alliance Manager will develop and maintain an inclusive environment that fosters shared learning, responsibility and accountability across Alliance partners to collectively drive service improvements and positive impact for our clients.

The NorthWest Alliance Manager will also be expected to role model and drive strong cultural governance and competency across all Alliance members. This will be guided by Aboriginal Sobriety Group (ASG), through regular cultural supervision and reflection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deploy the Alliance Charter’s principles, objectives, purpose and behaviours throughout the North West Alliance
  • Develop and deploy management and reporting systems, plans, processes and reporting mechanisms to guide and ensure the Alliance is delivering on stated outcomes and impact measures
  • Ensure that all members have access to information and reports including funding agreements, KPIs and targets, Outcome Measurements, financial reports and any other key information to assist in meeting all internal and external contract requirements
  • In collaboration with the Managers, ensure Alliance service delivery reflects strategic priorities & Alliance values and Charter
  • Build strong working relationships with funders, Alliance partners and key stakeholders to enhance service delivery and ensure advocacy for the services

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Degree or post graduate degree in relevant field
  • Qualification and/or experience in community development and collective impact approaches
  • Maintenance of a full, unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License.
  • National Police Clearance & Working with Children and Vulnerable Adults Clearances (DHS)
  • Demonstrated management and leadership in a multi-agency environment & high Knowledge of  collective impact and/or community mobilisation
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and diverse communities
  • Experience in engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in proactively developing purposeful networks and relationships & further facilitating and mediating a range of stakeholders and perspectives, promoting shared leadership and capacity-building
