THE OPPORTUNITY

UnitingSA is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead our Wesley House Aged Care Facility in Semaphore. The Site Operations Manager is accountable to the Senior Manager, Aged Care for the effective and efficient management of all aspects of the aged care facility. Through sound leadership and management processes, the SOM will ensure all residents receive quality care and enjoy quality of life appropriate to their individual needs and preferences.

The SOM will ensure that facility operates within budget and that ACFI assessments accurately reflects resident acuity to maintain rosters of appropriate staff numbers and skill levels. The facility will meet all relevant statutory and legislative requirements.

OUR SITE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Leading a collaborative and passionate multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all facets of Wesley House  Aged Care Facility. As a compassionate and empathetic leader, you will strive to ensure the delivery of high quality person centred and customer focused service so that our residents have the best quality of life.  

You’ll be required to:

  • Oversee the daily operations of Residential Aged Care, and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the facility and staff.
  • Lead your team with a positive approach, building a positive culture within the team.
  • Ensure the facility operates within budget and that rosters are maintained to ensure levels and skill mix of staff.
  • Support and lead a multidisciplinary team, including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations, recruitment, performance management and training and development
  • Conduct systematic review of our clinical pathways, procedures, assessment tools and policies against best practice guidelines.

The successful candidate will be a passionate, engaging and proactive leader who will empower the team to deliver results and outcomes for our residents. You will have extensive industry knowledge, strong understanding of Aged Care legislation and regulation (including quality and compliance).

You will have relevant experience in a similar position, along with strong leadership and mentoring skills gained from developing and managing a successful and diverse team. You will bring your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, staff, their families and internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate possess the following documentation

  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency & Current Practicing Certificate
  • Bachelor of Nursing, Relevant post-graduate qualification in management and/or aged care
  • Current National Police Clearance, NDIS Clearance & 2021 Influenza Vaccination
