Support Worker - Community Home Care

THE OPPORTUNITY

UnitingSA are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and caring Home Care Support Workers to join our team. Our client base is located mainly in the greater Western Region of Adelaide. You will be compassionate and have a willingness to deliver a person-centred approach to support people living in their homes to help maintain their independence. 

You will need to be willing to travel throughout the greater north/western region of Adelaide. You will be provided with the opportunity to learn in a supportive workplace culture committed to your development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver goal-orientated care and support
  • Help people to remain living in their home and supporting them to make independent choices
  • Observe and promptly report any changes in people’s health and wellbeing
  • Learn and apply skills for the use of equipment and mobility aids

The successful candidate will have:

  • Certificate III in Community Services, Individual Support or equivalent
  • experience in a caring role within a community setting
  • Current SA Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate

You will also demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or working alone.
