Unity is currently seeking an experienced and suitably qualified and committed professional with a strong community focus and a passion for people to work with our tenants located in the Adelaide western region.

Reporting to the Community Inclusion Manager, the successful candidate will have relevant community development experience and an ability to engage at the grass roots level to work creatively with clients/tenants with a bottom up approach to positive tenant engagement and program development. Working in close collaboration with the housing and assets teams you will thrive in a dynamic environment to implement a range of tenant engagement initiatives

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate through their application, experience in the following areas:

  • Ability to identify and maintain an understanding of tenant needs within the designated region/township and community resources to support these needs.
  • Demonstrated experience at the grassroots level including conducting client/tenant consultations, needs analysis, focus groups and surveys
  • Knowledge and experience in co-design, delivery and evaluation of tenant and community engagement initiatives within designated timeframes and budget.
  • Ability to identify, build and maintain neighbourhood and community-based relationships to support sustainable tenancies and address social isolation and loneliness.
  • Contributing to accessing community grants and other sources of funding to resource and deliver relevant initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to collaboratively engage and work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes and deliverables.

Additionally, knowledge of the Adelaide western metro region and experience working with students and volunteers would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will require a current SA driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes. Where pool vehicles are not available, full mileage reimbursement for business related travel will be paid. Flexibility to work additional hours or after hours (in negotiation and in advance), if required, is essential.
