Social Support Worker

Up & Over

The Opportunity:

Up & Over is a vibrant grass-roots organisation on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, aspiring to challenge the norms of social support by providing our participants with the tools to dream and achieve outside the box. We support our groups across all ranges of activities from a casual dinner out together through to multi-day trips away (and everything in between). We proudly support a diverse group of people across age, interests and social goals and have a big focus on the guys having as much choice and control over their social lives as possible.

At Up & Over, we believe that people with disabilities should enjoy choice and control over their lives. We believe that everyone should have access to new opportunities and be given the chance to extend the limits of their ability. We achieve this through ensuring the following values are embedded through our work:

  • Fun First - Fun sets the basis for everything we do!
  • Dreaming & Achieving Together - We support each other with our dreams, and celebrate together when we achieve them.
  • We Take Positive Risks - We support everyone to overcome barriers to achieve their dreams.
  • Everyone CAN Participate - We support everyone’s right to choice and control over their life.
  • Respect & Ambition - We value everyone’s goals and aspirations.
  • Friendship Building - We nurture and encourage positive and meaningful relationships.

We're looking for like-minded individuals who share our passion for breaking down disability stigmas, and supporting others to achieve their potential!
