The Opportunity

The Graphic Designer role within VACCA is perhaps one of our most key positions. Communication through Art and Imagery has always been central to the way that knowledge and tradition has been communicated by Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people. This role will join a talented team and be supported in implementing the communications needs across a variety of collateral, including print, digital, and merchandising. Your efforts will help VACCA strengthen our community presence in the key areas of advocacy, fundraising, marketing and communications. All of this will contribute to our on going mission of Aboriginal Self-Determination.

  • Create illustrations, images, layouts and artwork that have a strong cultural focus

  • Maintain and develop high quality visuals of cross-channel campaigns including print, website, social media and EDMs
  • Regularly consult and maintain relationships with external stakeholder organisations including other peak body’s in both the community and mainstream sectors

Sounds pretty good right?! These are just some of the activities that you would complete in a role that will be exciting and dynamic, attached to a team that will be receptive and supportive of your ideas, your learning and your growth as a professional. Let us sweeten this role even further and say...

If you were part of our team, you can expect:

  • Picturesque remuneration (starting at 75K plus Super and Salary Packaging to increase your take home pay)
  • Learning and Development opportunities- Fine tune the design your career and take it to the next level!
  • Generous leave entitlements including; paid maternity leave, cultural and ceremonial leave and compassionate leave

  • The opportunity to participate in cultural events and other activities- See how your designs are received!
  • A warm and supportive team that genuinely wants to assist you to do the best you can do- Our strength lies with our people!
