About the opportunity

We are looking for trainers who lead by example and demonstrate outstanding facilitation and learner support skills.

The position is responsible for coordinating, delivering, for AQF level Ill to Diploma Community Services qualifications to aspiring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

The position is responsible for designing, delivering, assessing and developing training materials and resources for AOD and mental health related accredited and non-accredited training, to aspiring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, as well as people who work in roles supporting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating and contributing to the development, delivery, assessment, validation, and moderations of accredited training programs from the Community Services and related training packages, as well as non-accredited training courses.
  • Meeting requirements for student and general administration tasks including record keeping associated with the delivery of training programs and assessment for students, including posting results and conducting other student administration in line with organisation, funding and registration body requirements, including the Student and Learning Management Systems.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years work experience or vocational practice/engagement in relation to alcohol and other drugs.
  • A qualification in alcohol and other drugs, social work, community services, psychology, or a related field (at a minimum of Diploma-level).
  • A minimum TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • Completion of CHCSS00093 Alcohol and Other Drugs Skills Set.
  • Recent and relevant industry experience, and willingness to share your experience with our students.
