About the opportunity

The Communications Officer – General will support the Strategic Communications Manager and Communications and Digital Services, and is primarily responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide communications advice, and develop and implement strategic communications plans. The role will also support the Communications and Digital Services team through other areas including internal communications, writing, social media, website and media when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Consult with teams and units to develop, oversee and coordinate communications plans.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand communications gaps and needs, and provide strategic communications advices as needed.
  • Developing content, key messages and communications packages for various channels.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least three years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and working experience in communications and digital teams
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal skills. and ability to translate complex information
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
