- Salary Offering: $69,351.38 (VALS D 1.2) plus 10.5% Superannuation
- Office Locations: High Street, Preston
- Full-time (fixed term to 30 June 2025) and subject to funding and performance will continue beyond this term.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The Database & Reporting Officer is a member of the Executive and Corporate Services Team and will work closely with all VALS departments.
The position is responsible for assisting with website and backend security maintenance, working with our Communications Team, large-scale physical filing and database management, reporting and maintenance that supports the organisation. The role will also conduct regular routine tasks and reports, assist in the design and implementation of system improvements and be instrumental in the development of exciting new projects.

- Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledge their diverse backgrounds, personalities and varying needs and the unique cultural ways in which they may be expressed.
- Significant experience working in a Data Management field.
- Comprehensive understanding of information systems, metadata and maintaining user access to systems.
- Well-developed understanding of databases, including their configuration and maintenance, and the capacity to analyse, extract and validate datasets.
- Understanding of data management processes in support of reporting requirements, obtaining business insights and meeting user needs.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, in particular, Excel, Word and Power BI.
- Process driven and focused, with strong administrative, project management, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships within a multi-skilled and multi-disciplinary working environment.
- Commitment to embedding continuous improvement, innovation, and change management techniques within your work.
- Commitment to developing technical and professional skills and competencies. Note: VALS will assist with your professional development.
Desirable
- Relevant qualification/s in Data Management, Information Management, and/or Information Technology.
- Knowledge of client and/or other databases.
- Experience working in and/or passionate about the non-profit sector.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

- A copy of your current Victorian Driver’s License
- You will be required to complete a current Criminal History Police Check
