Victorian Health Promotion Foundation
  • Contribute to helping enable all Victorians to increase control over, and improve their health
  • Brand new bright offices in Melbourne CBD featuring amazing collaboration spaces, and hybrid working model

VicHealth is the world’s first health promotion foundation. Established by the Victorian Parliament in 1987, we were the first agency of our kind worldwide to utilise a hypothecated tax on tobacco to support independent, long-term, evidence-based health promotion practice, partnerships and leadership. We continue to be a global leader in health promotion, as a Collaborating Centre with the World Health Organization and as a technical partner to UNICEF.

Here at VicHealth we have an amazing career opportunity as a Coordinator, Policy located within our Policy & Government Relations team.

Reporting directly to our Manager, Policy & Government Relations, you will work across the organisation, as well as externally to contribute to our policy development platform, aiming to create a Victoria where everyone can enjoy better health and wellbeing.

Day to day tasks will include drafting and coordinating policy documents, submissions, briefings and other government-related activities.

You’ll be comfortable developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including government minsters and representatives.

Drawing on your well-developed project management skills, you will also coordinate various projects to ensure project specific milestones are met.

You will have initiative, be able to problem solve, and be able to demonstrate how you have worked collaboratively within a strong team environment and contributed to a constructive and impact-focussed culture.

You will be highly driven, with a can-do attitude and a systems-based mindset, and be comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.

VicHealth is committed to ensuring appointments represent the diversity of our community. Women, Indigenous people, people with disability, young people, LGBTIQ+ people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
