We currently have a fixed term part time position of Coordinator, Social Connection and Mental Wellbeing available to work within our Future Healthy Group, whose aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of young Victorians and those facing barriers to accessing these opportunities.

You will report directly to the Manager, Social Connection and Mental Wellbeing and you will contribute to the delivery of effective health promotion programs and initiatives, working in close partnership with teams across the entire organisation and with external partners.

In this exciting role, you will have an opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects and programs as VicHealth seeks to activate opportunities for systems change.

We are looking for a highly driven candidate with a can-do attitude and a systems-based mindset, who is also comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.

The ability to use initiative, problem solve, and to work collaboratively within a strong team environment will also be primary factors that we will be looking for.

Unit: Future Healthy Group

Tenure: Part time (3 days a week, 0.6 FTE), Fixed term (12 months)

Classification: VicHealth Grade C

Remuneration: $74,500-77,294 pro rata (plus superannuation and other benefits)

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Relevant qualification at Advanced Diploma level and/or strong demonstrable experience working as a project officer
  • Demonstrable project management experience
  • Strong and dependable planning, administration, and organisation skills
  • Impressive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within the public health, community or government sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new approaches and apply them in practice
