About the Position

We are currently looking for two Enquiries and Review Officers to join our team, one ongoing and one for a 6 month fixed-term period.

The Enquiries & Review team is the first point of contact for consumers and lawyers who need help from the VLSBC. The Enquiries & Review Officer is responsible for triaging and resolving consumer enquiries and, escalating and referring consumer complaints within the organisation as required. With over 24,000 lawyers in Victoria, the team is also responsible for managing their enquiries, assessing practising certificate applications and associated licensing matters renewals, and maintaining the register of lawyers.

The role requires:

• Relevant experience in a customer service, complaint handling, government or regulatory environment with experience in case management;
• Ability to obtain a high level of understanding and regulation of legal practice and how to interpret and apply legislation and case law;
• Ability to prepare succinct and accurate written correspondence; and
• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and ability to use information technology resources conscious of confidentiality and privacy.
