Full Time Position. Contracted Position as per Government Funding.

Location: Warragul VIC 3820

• Provide Counselling and psychotherapy
• Conducting diagnostic assessments, case formulation using DSM diagnostic criteria and treatment planning
• Conducting psychological assessments including vocational and psycho-educational assessments
• Provisional psychologists are required to attend regular supervision sessions in accordance with AHPRA guidelines.

Essential:

• Formal Qualification(s) & Required Registration(s):
• Psychologists:
  Provisional Registration as a Psychologist under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009)
• Comply with all legal requirements pertaining to the position including responsibility for maintaining current registration as required by your professional organisation or other applicable Acts.

• Previous experience providing assessment and intervention to consumers with a serious mental illness

• Demonstrated capacity for initiative and an ability to work appropriately with limited direction.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
• Demonstrated experience in working as a member of a team.
• Experience working with people of all ages within a clinical setting
• Training and work related experience in CBT
• A commitment to a strength based recovery approach to service delivery.
• High level verbal and written communication skills.
• An ability to write case notes and do this articulately, clearly and concise.
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite & previous experience with CIM programs.
• A strong commitment to and knowledge of recovery-based practice in the workplace.
• Knowledge of the local area and its health services and other community services
• Understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of a mental health issue and people experiencing mental health concerns for the first time.

Desirable:

• Experience in goal focused care planning.
• An interest in service development / continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Experience with people from CALD backgrounds.
