Waverley Social Enterprises (WSE) is a leading provider in the disability supported employment services sector, dedicated to transforming the lives of people living with disabilities. Currently, WSE supports over 300 individuals across our two sites—Notting Hill and Hallam—by providing meaningful employment opportunities in various sectors including packaging, assembly, warehousing, grounds maintenance, catering, and on-site labour hire.

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact within a purpose-driven organisation? Do you have strong experience in project and change management? If so, we are looking for an experienced Project Officer to lead a transformative project aimed at redesigning the entire employee experience at Waverley Social Enterprises. This is an 18-month contract position with a unique opportunity to make a difference.

As Project Officer, you will be responsible for understanding the diverse needs of our employees with disabilities and implementing innovative solutions to enhance their work experience, engagement, and overall satisfaction. Your work will contribute to Waverley’s vision of creating a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Act as the primary liaison with service design consultants, and collaborate with employees, management, and external partners to gather insights and feedback, ensuring all voices are heard in the project design.
  • Identify risks and develop proactive strategies to keep the project on track and aligned with objectives.
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, accessibility, and inclusivity.
  • Work with HR and the Experience team to create change management strategies, including training and resources, to help employees transition smoothly to new processes and tools.

Our Ideal Candidate

Essentials:

  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Proven experience in leading both project management and change management initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Desired:

  • Experience implementing projects and managing change in the disability sector or related environments.
  • A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities in a supported employment setting.
  • Experience working in charity or community-based organisations.
