The Role

This is a part time (3-4 days per week) fixed term 9-month parental leave position.

We are looking for a skilled Communications Manager who is an all-rounder that can deliver across all areas of our organisation’s communications needs. You understand how to oversee the delivery of marketing materials, writing copy for social media, blog posts and website content, writing a newsletter and EDMs and report writing. You will be working in a small, supportive team who are based across the country.

We encourage applicants who would like to work from home. You can be based anywhere in Australia.

Depending on experience $85,000-$98,000 per year full time equivalent (pro rata at 3-4 days per week).

Selection Criteria

• Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or similar, and/or professional work experience in these fields
• Experience working in a communications/marketing, journalism, or advocacy
• Storytelling and interviewing people in a sensitive and thoughtful manner
• Managing the creation of an annual report
• Experience in developing and implementing communications and media strategies, and measuring outcomes
  Involvement in organising events, conferences or an understanding of what is required for the Way Forward team to participate in events
• Writing copy for social media posts, website blogs and website content
• Stakeholder engagement, including the ability to work collaboratively and communicate, liaise and build productive relationships with a wide range of people to achieve common goals
• Demonstrated skills and experience in working in or with traditional media
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including editing documents and the ability to prepare high-quality materials tailored to a variety of audiences.
