About the Position

Reporting to our the Programme Manager for Project Zenith (our 10-year strategy), the Business Process Analyst will work across Wayside to facilitate process requirements definition and delivery. The intent of the role is to ensure we are best placed to respond to the needs of our broad community and to assist us with ambitious growth plans. You will facilitate workshops, map processes and identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis of business requirements, gathering and process mapping activities on existing processes.
  • Facilitate information gathering workshops to confirm business and process requirements across various teams and processes.
  • Undertake gap analysis to understand gaps between current and ideal end state processes.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to address process gaps identified.
  • Collaborate with employees at all levels within Wayside on projects and tracking milestones and target dates for process improvement initiatives at all stages of the requirements gathering and future state planning processes.
  • Manage project schedule, scope, activities, risks and issues.
  • Review, document and analyse complex business processes and identify and recommend areas for improvement.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience working as a business analyst, process analyst or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, analysing and documenting business requirements, current and future processes.
  • Experience in managing process improvement projects to embed new processes to address identified gaps.
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills, with proven ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and differences of opinion/perspective.
  • Proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Desirable

  • Tertiary Qualification in Business, Commerce, and/ or IT
  • Practical experience in Project Management and application of Agile methodology
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences and a commitment to the value of cultural competency.

Key Performance indicators

  • Delivery of streamlined, effective and well documented business processes
  • Active engagement of Team Managers in the development and delivery of process improvements for their teams.
  • An improved understanding of business analysis at Wayside
