Wayss is the largest provider of housing and family violence services in the South East Melbourne area.
We exist so that people have access to safe, sustainable and affordable housing and our vision is to be the major provider of social housing services and leading-edge client support programs in the Southern Melbourne Metropolitan region.
Wayss is a leading service provider which delivers support to those experiencing family violence in the home. Our family violence programs provide support and assist women and their family to access the services they need. Our integrated approach has transformed the lives of many thousands of people and families, assisting them to live free from family violence.
Wayss is funded to respond to Victoria Police Family Violence Referrals (L17's) and is the primary Intake and Assessment point for family violence case management. With the establishment of The Orange Door in the Southern Melbourne region, this role will transition to The Orange Door In October 2021.
The position responds to Family Violence Reports (L17’s) by addressing the immediate needs of women and their children experiencing family violence. A point of initial contact and engagement for women and their children seeking support, the position works within a specialist women’s, children and families discipline to provide information, advice and an initial assessment with a focus on risk assessment for those seeking assistance.

This role requires a current Driver’s Licence and valid ‘Employment’ category - Working with Children Check Card. The candidate will need to have successfully completed Wayss pre-employment screening and a police check.
