Wellness Australia Group works in partnership with the Institute for the Clinical Advancement of Neuroplasticity Ltd (ICAN) who provide a total medical team including world class physicians including neuropsychiatrist, mental health doctors and allied health professionals.

Services are provided in-home and at Wellness Australia Group's portfolio of inclusive communities located in beautiful coastal and regional locations across South East Queensland, such as, South Stradbroke Island – Blended Living in South Stradbroke (BLISS), Esk, Brisbane and the Gympie Region – Honey Bees Wellness Retreat.

Support worker requirements

  • Experience in supporting clients with a disability (physical and/or intellectual/mental health) or with Residential youth programs
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviours highly regarded
  • Nursing or allied health experience highly regarded
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, sense of humour and a ready smile
  • Experience in administering Webster Packs and PRN medication preferred or be willing to be trained in
  • Can work a 24/7 roster (preferred)
  • Backgrounds in other qualifications, trades or skills highly regarded
  • A belief in anything is possible and the fortitude to assist others to make that happen
  • Understanding of NDIA values and purpose

All applicants must have

  • Australian Citizenship or correct Visa to work in Australia
  • Current Australian Drivers licence
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to get, Wellness will pay for this)
  • Comply with the Disability Services Act 2006, screening requirements (Blue card and NDIS Workers Screening Card)
  • Comply with the Queensland Government Health Directive of COVID19 Vaccination requirements for Disability Support Workers to be fully vaccinated
