Wellways is seeking an experienced Clinical Care Consultant to join our supportive team. This exciting opportunity will be primarily based at Pymble NSW, however for the right applicant location can be flexible to work from either Pymble, Campbelltown or Bankstown NSW.

About this opportunity

We are seeking a permanent full time Clinical Care Consultant. This role is an integral part of our close-knit client care team ensuring the best care for our clients throughout NSW and ACT. Reporting to the Sydney Coast Regional Manager this role provides support with the provision of the clinical elements of our services. Candidates must have current registration compliant with legislative and APRA requirements.

This role includes:

  • Ensuring all clinical requirements of Wellways Participants are appropriate, safe, reviewed and managed
  • Being available to travel throughout NSW/ACT as required
  • Developing training programs and providing supervision and support for Wellways staff with clinical tasks
  • Organising WHS, manual handling, clinical and client specific training
  • Assisting with clinical training, reviewing all clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Ensuring Participants support plans and services are evaluated as required
  • Developing relationships with Participants, Allied Health teams and Providers to identify opportunities to improve and increase services

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Registered Nurse Qualification
  • Experience with training Support Workers, AINS or other staff members
  • A Certificate in Training and Assessment would be preferred though not essential
  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge in working with community services Industry
  • Experience in building long lasting partnerships in the community while working in collaboration with other external services
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals.
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate or willing to obtain one and current valid Driver's License.
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check (less than 12 months) Working with Children Check - Check, prior to commencement - or willing to obtain.
  • Right to work within Australia
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Evidence of full COVID vaccination or valid medical exemption
