The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) is designed to address key areas that support people who have mental health issues, so they can maintain successful tenancies and participate in their communities. This support often results in improvements in their quality of life and most importantly, assists in their recovery from mental illness. A key outcome of the program will be supporting the participant to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery, and to assist in the development of self-management skills.
We are seeking an experienced Recovery and Rehabilitation Worker to join our supportive team here at Wellways Australia. Reporting to the Coordinator & Team Leader of HASI South Western Sydney, you will work with the team and other key internal and external stakeholders and provide direct support to participants and carers within the Wellways practice frameworks.
You're a passionate, empathetic and caring individual who is looking to make an invaluable positive impact on the lives of others. You relish a challenge and new experience. You're calm, collected and resilient in the face of adversity and are looking to carry these qualities with you to the front line to start helping those in need. You are an independent, proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow direction/s given by your managers and can work within a tight-knit team. You have strong people and communication skills, and have a flair for administration tasks.
If you share our passion of helping people and want to make a difference in someone's life, then we look forward to receiving your application!
For confidential discussion please contact: Leanne Robertson, Program Coordinator on 02 4623 0120.
