The Support Recovery program's primary focus is to work with participants to address keys areas that support people who have mental health issues, so they can participate in their communities.

The goals of the program are to:

• Assist participants in developing and sustaining social connections and strengthening family relationships
• Provide participants with support with living skills to improve quality of life at the agreed level of participation based on individual needs
• Increase overall quality of life, physical health, and wellbeing for participants
• Encourage and promote social inclusion, including increasing participant access to obtain meaningful employment and/or participate in education or training
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with team members as well as other support services to ensure participants are receiving the support and assistance, they require to achieve individual goals and plans

Working in the role of Recovery & Rehabilitation Worker, you will support and work with participants to address key areas such as the development of decision-making skills, social skills, independent living skills, community access, healthy lifestyle, self-identity, self-esteem and resilience.

So What Do You Need?

• Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working in a support role for people with a mental illness, Current and valid Driver's License and are able to undertake travel.
• Satisfactory Police Records Check (no older than 12 months)
• NSW Working with Children Check.
• NDIS Orientation Module
• Evidence of rights to work within Australia
• FULL COVID19 Vaccination (including booster if eligible) or valid medical exemption
• Desirable but not essential: previous experience working within Aboriginal/Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and/or understanding of Aboriginal/CALD communities, both socially and culturally.
