Wellways Australia exists to help all Australians lead active, fulfilling and inclusive lives in their community. We achieve this by supporting and working with individuals, families and the community to help them imagine and achieve better lives. We advocate for change to ensure people have access to the best possible care and information when they need it. We provide a wide range of services and assistance for people with mental health issues, disabilities, youth and older Australians and those requiring community care.
Wellways is committed to reconciliation, lived experience and inclusivity. We strongly encourage and warmly welcome people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, people with a lived experience of mental health and disability and people who identify as LGBTIQA+ to apply. Even if you only meet some of the criteria, we'd love to hear from you.
The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) is designed to address key areas that support people who live with significant mental health challenges so they can maintain successful tenancies and participate in their communities. This support often results in improvements in their quality of life and most importantly, assists in their ongoing mental health recovery. A key outcome of the program will be supporting the participant to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery, and to assist in the development of self-management skills.
We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation and Recovery Worker to join our supportive team here at Wellways Australia. Reporting to the Program Manager & Team Leader of HASI South Western Sydney, you will work with the team and other key internal and external stakeholders including Community Mental Health Care Coordinators to provide direct support to participants and carers within the Wellways practice frameworks.
If you share our passion of helping people and want to make a difference in people's lives, then we look forward to receiving your application!
For confidential discussion please contact:
Leanne Robertson, Program Manager on 02 4623 0120 or via email [email protected], using the subject line: Rehabilitation and Recovery Worker - HASI Program enquiry via EthicalJobs.
