About the program

Wellways Australia is the Carer Gateway service provider in South West Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains and Queensland. Carer Gateway service providers provide carers with practical information, advice and support to access services that help them to sustain in their caring role. Carers are people who provide a caring role to someone in their life who has a disability, mental health issue, chronic health condition, terminal illness or is frail aged. About the role

The Carer Gateway Service Manager will focus on further developing the NSW Carer Gateway team, Wellways Carer Gateway reputation/brand and expand and diversify our service offer in the area.

Reporting to the National Manager Carer Services Project, the Service Manager performs several key leadership and management functions, including;

  • Nurturing and developing a capable and committed team
  • Providing leadership in the management and development of best practice service delivery across the Carer Gateway program
  • Ensuring that program financial objectives are met
  • Developing Wellways Carer Gateway profile and presence in the area as a leading provider of carer services
  • Embedding Wellways values and practice principles in everything that we do
  • Leading local responses to emerging risks and opportunities
  • Delivering against Activity Work and Community Engagement Plans

Additional responsibilities of the Service Manager role include:

  • The achievement of funder specific targets
  • Reporting against program targets and objectives
  • Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships including alliances and partnerships
  • Collaborate with Wellways Regional Manager to ensure all programs within the region integrate seamlessly

Pre-employment requirements

  • Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
  • A current valid Driver's License
  • National Police Records Check (less than 12 months old)
  • Working with Children Check (Current or willing to obtain prior to employment)
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
