The Health and Wellbeing team have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join their MDT in a full time capacity to service community-based clients who are over 65. With clinics in Chermside and Sinnamon Park, this position will join a team of ~60 across a broad range of allied health disciplines, including physiotherapy, exercise physiology, podiatry, dietetics, speech pathology, social work and more! The clientele are community-dwelling seniors who receive services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home Care Packages, and the candidate will be supported by a team of over 8 Occupational Therapists with a wealth of knowledge and ample professional development opportunities. You will be provided with a fleet car for all travel, a tablet for home visits as well as desktop workstations at both of our clinics, and access to wide range of resources to provide holistic Occupational Therapy services to your clients.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Assessment of customer function and development of suitable intervention to enhance safety, function and participation in life roles.
  2. Development and regular review of customer individual treatment plans and goals.
  3. Delivery of high quality intervention and advice in regards to adaptation and optimisation of environment, performance of activity, function and other areas relevant to the customer.
  4. Assisting customers to achieve optimum level of function.
