WestCASA provides sexual assault crisis care, specialist trauma counselling, advocacy, education and training services to the western metropolitan region of Melbourne and is located at the Werribee Multi-Disciplinary Centre with outreach locations to the Cities of Footscray, Melton, and the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (women’s prison) in Deer Park. Services are also provided to the Cities of Brimbank, Hobson’s Bay and Maribyrnong.
The agency provides services to women, men, and children (aged 12 years and over) who have experienced sexual assault as adults or children and supports non-offending family and friends.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership to the team of Counsellor/Advocates and have the opportunity to implement current research and best practice in the delivery of trauma focused counselling and advocacy within a feminist rights/advocacy framework. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, this role will ensure the well-being of the team and accountable delivery of services.
The Clinical Services Manager also provides a clinical advisory role to the Chief Executive Officer.
The position oversees and supports the development and delivery of a range of programs and group work that support and enhance the core work undertaken by WestCASA. As Clinical Services Manager you will oversee clinical supervision, design, support and provide appropriate professional development of all Counsellor/Advocates in their role of delivering counselling and advocacy to people who have experienced sexual assault, and their non-offending family & friends.
WestCASA is a not-for-profit organisation with a community-based Board of Governance and a member of the state-wide peak organisation of sexual assault services, SAS Victoria. Services are funded by the Victorian Government.
