West Footscray Neighbourhood House is a non-profit organisation that offers a safe and inclusive place for the community to engage, connect and thrive. We offer a number of programs that support social participation and community engagement. We are going through an exciting time of change, as we improve the way we do things, innovate, and grow and diversify our programs.
Reporting to the Manager, the Administration & Projects Coordinator is a key linchpin of West Footscray Neighbourhood House and is responsible for enhancing the operational capacity of the organisation and improving efficiency and service quality.
The challenge of this role lies in creating efficiencies and supporting innovations that will ensure the organisations sustainability, whilst simultaneously responding to the everyday demands of a community organisation.
This hands on role is the initial face of West Footscray Neighbourhood House, acting as the first point of call for all enquiries. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including process development, accounts payable and receivable, fundraising and grants, policy and procedure review and development, HR support, administration projects, stakeholder management, organisational compliance, volunteer engagement and more.
This role is available for IMMEDIATE start. Hours are 9:00am-3:00pm, 3, 4 or 5 days per week (upon agreement). Salary will be SCHADS 3 commensurate with experience.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable, highly organised and adaptable person with a passion for high quality work, a great eye for details and the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks efficiently and calmly. You are strong at process innovation, always looking to improve yourself and the systems around you. You take pride in what you do, taking accountability if something is missed and you have solid computer skills and are somewhat tech savvy.
If you are up for a new challenge, and looking for a role in an organisation where you will be contributing to making a difference in your community, this is an opportunity to take the next step in your career.
