About the role
The Data & Systems Analyst assists the data owners in operational teams, and data consumers in corporate services teams with the administration, analysis and optimisation of data and systems applications to ensure system outputs align with organizational requirements and strategic goals.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure that the relevant teams effectively own and use the available data and systems as intended.
- Providing timely data extracts for operational effectiveness in service delivery and compliance reporting.
- Analysing data requirements and data extracts for anomalies
- Reporting anomalies to data owners in business teams for review, clarification and correction.
- Co-ordinating the Compliance Reporting Calendar and working with accountable / responsible stakeholders in operational and corporate services team for review and approval of data for reporting purposes.
- Working with operational teams on new reporting requirements, ad-hoc data analysis and configuration (and testing of) changes to existing systems (where required)
Essential criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or Information Technology or similar
- Reporting and systems experience in developing data management, data governance, report parameters and designing reports for operational and finance teams
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills across intersecting business areas
- Experience in the use of a business intelligence tool (such as Power BI)
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Mandatory National Police Check
- Being female is a genuine occupational requirement – Section 31 Anti-Discrimination Act 1977
Desirable
- Experience system enhancement and day to day use of integrated business systems such as finance, asset and customer ERPs
- Experience in working within effective change control protocols and approval processes
- Experience of developing and documenting procedures
- Community Housing regulatory reporting and compliance
