Women’s Health East seeks an independent contractor to undertake bookkeeping responsibilities, or a Finance Assistant to work 19.5 hours per fortnight on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2024 who is paid at Level 4 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.

Our strategic priorities are to advance gender equality, prevent violence against women and improve women’s sexual and reproductive health. Women’s Health East is recruiting for a number of positions following new investment from the Victorian State Government in the women’s health sector. 

Role summary  

Women’s Health East is recruiting a Finance Assistant to work under the direction of our Finance Manager to support Women’s Health East’s core financial processes including the day-to-day finance function.  The role involves ensuring the financial transactions are efficiently processed and financial records are accurately maintained.  

This position is responsible for processing fortnightly payroll and day to day accounts payable functions and supporting other bookkeeping functions, as required.  Availability to work on alternate Wednesdays is essential, with flexibility over days for remaining hours.
