About Women’s Health East 

Women’s Health East (WHE) is a women’s health promotion agency based in Doncaster East that works across Melbourne’s eastern region. WHE’s vision is equality, empowerment, health and wellbeing for all women. Our strategic priorities are to advance gender equality, prevent violence against women and improve women’s sexual and reproductive health.

Role summary  

The Manager Prevention of Violence Against Women is a member of the leadership team and plays a key strategic role at Women’s Health East. The Manager is responsible for leading a staff team who deliver intersectional evidence-based health promotion programs, capacity building initiatives and sector development strategies to prevent violence against women in Melbourne’s eastern region. 

Women’s Health East is the lead agency for the Together For Equality and Respect Partnership, which is a cross-sector collaboration of organisations in Melbourne’s east that work together to prevent violence against women. The Manager leads this collaborative regional partnership and ensures that relationships with leaders and prevention practitioners are maintained to advance the regional strategy, action plan and collective evaluation framework to prevent violence against women.
