We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant Alcohol and Drug experience to join our SECADA team located in Dandenong, on a fixed term part-time basis, 22.8 hours per week.

The Role

The Nurse Practitioner can work to their full scope of practice in this role, working collaboratively with the clients GP, overseeing the client as they withdrawal in the safety of their own home. An experienced Alcohol and Drug Case Manager works alongside the Nurse Practitioner to support the client to achieve their treatment goals. The services are provided to clients that are low risk and have an identified support worker and stable accommodation. This role is positioned in Dandenong and covers the regions of City of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia.

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Experience in working with clients with problematic substance use
  • Experience working in a similar outreach role in a community health or welfare setting
  • Sound clinical knowledge of drug and alcohol dependence and withdrawal
  • An ability to work collaboratively with the client’s General Practitioner and other supports in the community
  • Ability to work in a culturally appropriate, trauma informed approach

Salary will be in the range of $100,000 – $120,000 per annum pro rata, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

Your qualifications will include

  • Current APHRA Registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 with Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner
