Recovery Support Enhanced Intake Workers x5

Windermere Child & Family Services

About you and the role:

In association with the Victorian State Government of Health and Human Services and the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), Windermere’s Recovery Support Service aims to assist members of the community who have been impacted by the recent storms in Victoria.

Windermere’s Recovery Support Program will provide dedicated support to help affected families access the services and information they need to recover and start rebuilding their lives. The Recovery Support Program includes a team of Recovery Support Enhanced Intake Workers who will be the first point of contact for people seeking ongoing support – such as information and advice, mental health support or financial counselling.

More specifically, as a Recovery Support Intake Workers you will aid our consumers in navigating various local and additional support services. You will be responsible for intake assessment, plan development, referrals and advocacy. For some consumers, you may also provide short term recovery support.

Due to the crucial need of such services and the high volume of consumers, we have five 12-month fixed term positions working 38 hours per week, however part-time hours may be negotiable. Windermere also promotes a hybrid model of working from home and within our offices in Narre Warren or Pakenham.

This position is perfectly suited for Support Workers with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a trauma related program or similar field.

To be successful for this role, you will posses:
