Senior Practitioner - Recovery Support

In association with the Victorian State Government of Health and Human Services and the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), Windermere’s Recovery Support Service aims to assist members of the community who have been impacted by the recent storms in Victoria. Windermere’s Recovery Support Program will provide dedicated support to help affected families access the services and information they need to recover and start rebuilding their lives.

About the Role

Utilising your strong leadership and supervision experience, you will be responsible for mentoring and leading a team of 6 x Recovery Intake Workers and 2 x Recovery Support Workers. As well as leading the Recovery team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Team Leader by maintaining efficient and effective recovery support services for our consumers, with a core focus on: Program delivery and service improvement, ensuring the Recovery Program operates within existing legislative and funding compliance requirements, maintain, improve & strengthen stakeholder relationships and be a positive and encouraging advocate for change.

This is a full-time fixed term position until June 2022. Windermere also promotes a hybrid model of working from home and within our offices in Narre Warren or Pakenham.

About you

You will hold Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or a similar level qualification. Furthermore you will have specialist knowledge and relevant experience in program leadership, comprehensive understanding in the impact of community disaster events and providing services within a trauma informed practice. Your exceptional leadership and people skills with a natural ability to listen, learn, influence and build effective relationships with your team will be key to your success.
