ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced speech pathologist for a permanent full-time position but are open to part-time for the right applicant (22.8 or 30.4 hours per week). We offer a hybrid model of working remotely from home and meeting with consumers in their natural surroundings or within our offices in Berwick, Cranbourne and / or Pakenham.

As a Windermere Senior Speech Pathologist, you will:

  • Deliver a broad range of evidence informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings for children
  • Provide key worker support to families and children via face to face consultation and relationship building in natural environments, schools and kindergartens as well as our modern office facilities and therapy spaces
  • Liaise and collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans
  • Provide discipline specific support and advice to families and children in relation to speaking, listening, language, augmentative and alternative communication, fluency and social skills
  • Assess and organise the prescription of assistive technology to enable children to develop maximum function
  • Provide supervision and support to staff including service delivery guidance, debriefing, information sharing, and escalating OHS issues identified

TECHNICAL SKILLS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • You will have a tertiary qualification within Speech Pathology and hold a current registration with Speech Pathology Australia. Furthermore you will have specialist knowledge and relevant demonstrated experience within a paediatric practice
  • You will have experience managing, supervising and leading staff & a minimum of 6 years’ discipline specific clinical experience
