Wintringham is a not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We employ over 800 staff and operate from multiple offices across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The From Homelessness to a Home (H2H) initiative supports the people who have experienced long-term homelessness and disadvantage and have complex needs. This program will provide the affordable housing and support they need to promote their health and wellbeing and prevent a return to homelessness.
We are currently seeking proactive individuals to join our Housing and Homelessness Team as a Housing & Homelessness Support Worker. The Housing and Homelessness Support Worker (HHSSW) will be a member of the new Homelessness to a Home (H2H) team in Metropolitan Melbourne. Reporting to the Housing & Homelessness Support – Practice Lead, you will manage a mixed caseload of H2H clients, linking and referring them into clinical services and social and recreational activities.

Applicants who have lived in a country other than Australia for a period longer than 12 months in the last 10 years may be required to undergo an International Police Check.
The federal government has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for all essential workers unless a medical exemption applies. Successful candidates will be required to show evidence of a first dose of COVID-19 vaccination if commencing employment after 15th October 2021, and full vaccination if commencing employment after 26th November 2021.
