Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women’s Legal Centre is a NSW state-wide community legal centre for Aboriginal women, children and youth. The Centre has a strong focus on assisting victims of violence. Our office is located in metropolitan Sydney at 142 Addison Road, Building 13, Marrickville NSW 2204.
The Sexual Assault funding has been provided for the Centre to design and deliver a specific sexual assault campaign targeting the Aboriginal communities. The campaign has been designed. The solicitor will work with the team to deliver the project. The solicitor will be required to provide information, advice and casework (depending on capacity) to clients, especially those that have experienced sexual violence.
We are seeking expressions of interest for one (1) solicitor position at our Centre to work in our sexual violence project.
The positions are female identified and Aboriginal women are strongly encouraged to apply.
We are seeking applicants with a minimum of 6 months experience in the following areas of law:
