Wesley Out of School Hours Care (WOOSH) provides high quality before and after school care and vacation care to school aged children across greater Sydney.

About the role

As the Training & Recruitment Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting our 11 OOSH Centres with recruitment of staff and trainees, developing a robust induction program to support service delivery and ensuring staff are covered by all requirements to work.

To be successful in this position you will have strong leadership qualities, be passionate and love working as part of a fast-paced team, with a passion to ensure our staff are supporting our children to be the best they can be. You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated. You will also have a cooperative approach to working with stakeholders.

Essential criteria

  • minimum current Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Childcare qualifications with experience in Out of School Hours Care services
  • firm understanding of the National Quality Framework and how it relates to service delivery
  • proven experience in staff recruitment
  • demonstrated skills in developing an in-house training program to appropriately onboard staff
  • proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and budgets
  • demonstrable skills in conflict resolution, change management and financial management
  • thorough attention to detail
  • excellent written and oral skills, public speaking and presentation capabilities
  • outstanding interpersonal skills, flexible, patient and ability to relate well to all levels of society with which Wesley Mission interacts
  • proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Desirable criteria

  • not-for-profit or cause-related management experience
  • an appreciation of the challenges involved in managing a diverse workforce within a not-for-profit environment.
