About the role

Wesley Mission is seeking a casual Payroll Officer to support the Payroll team as the organisation rolls out an exciting new Rostering Workforce Management system. This role will assist in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Payroll function.

To be successful in this position, candidates must be able to demonstrate the capability to meet the criteria outlined below:

Essential criteria

• Experience using a HR / Payroll information system
• Ability to provide interpretation, advice and decisions regarding employee entitlements by applying relevant industrial instruments and legislation
• Strong computer skills – in particular with using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel
• Effective team player with a positive can-do attitude
• Proven organisational skills - attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

Desirable criteria

• Tertiary / 3rd level qualification in Business or a related discipline.
