About the role

Wesley Mission has a long and proud history as a premier out-of-home care provider in NSW. We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and passionate professional to lead a team of committed and dedicated Team Leaders and Case Workers.

The Programme Manager is responsible for:

  • strong leadership of the programme in keeping with Wesley Mission’s vision and values
  • ensure that negotiated targets are met
  • follow and prepare programme budgets
  • ensuring all requirements of the Office of the Children’s Guardian accreditation continue to be met
  • develop positive relationships with stakeholders (government, non-government and community).

Essential criteria

  • degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent related degree
  • ability to provide leadership and supervision within a team setting
  • experience working with children and families preferably in out-of-home care and PSP
  • knowledge of NSW Child Protection and Out-of-Home Care Standards
  • knowledge of Permanency Support reforms in OOHC
  • flexibility to work some outside normal business hours at times
  • current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
  • commitment to continuous improvement and WH&S Principles
  • previous experience in programme management and/or management qualifications
  • previous experience in the preparation and supervision of budgets.

Remuneration

Wesley Mission provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development. Salary and conditions of employment are based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award 2010, Level 7, with generous salary packaging opportunities.
