An opportunity exists for an experienced, motivated and teachable person to join our small team in its work supporting local young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
This is a demanding but rewarding role, requiring sound judgement, initiative, collaboration, creativity, resilience and genuine compassion.
It is a part-time position, predominantly for overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts (overnight shifts are 4:30pm to 9:30am and include sleep-over). It will require engaging our accommodated young people in vital day-to-day activities such as meal preparation, getting to school, preparing for and keeping appointments etc.
Wesley Mission employees working at Specialist Homelessness Services are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and comply with relevant booster vaccinations. As such, the successful candidate will need to provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status prior to commencing in this role.
Applicants will need to possess a current driver’s licence, Apply First Aid Certification, and satisfy security checks in relation to working with children and criminal history.
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, with generous salary packaging opportunities.
