Wesley KickStart Supported Independent Living is an innovative program supporting young people to develop their independent living skills and transitioning from the out-of-home care system. As the casual Youth Worker, you will provide support to young people in a variety of living situations including living in their own apartments, and in shared housing providing respite support to House Parents.
We are currently seeking a pool of casual staff who will provide support for young people transition out of the out of home care system. The role will specifically support young people to develop their independent living skills and manage private rental properties as well as support young people in a supported shared house environment.
Initially, the primary focus of this role will be to work as part of a team providing 24-hour support to a young person in the Penrith area. Set shifts would be preferred for this initial engagement. Further hours would be dependent on requirements at the time.
Hours of work are flexible requiring availability for weekend and sleepover shifts.
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 3 PP1.
